I am very excited to be one of the stops on Leslierahye's Very Fall Steampunk blog hop. Fall is the time when the leaves turn and the crops are harvested. Fall is the time of year for giving thanks, in that spirit I created a 6"x6" steampunk thank you card.
Starting with a great 12"x12" piece of Recollections Signature Steampunk Botanicals treated paper cut in half to create the 12"x6" cardbase, and the remaining piece cut down to 6"x6" to use as a card front. Distress inks and markers were used to reinforce the fall colour themes by altering the paper. Extra leaves were added with a clear stamp from the Hot Off the Press "Masculine Collage' collection and both Ranger Archival ink and Versamark ink. The Versamark leaves are embossed with Pretty in Ink's green vertigris embossing powder, as was the gear stamp from the previously mentioned HOTP stamp set. The sentiment is found in the Spellbinders Just Rite clear stamps "For all you do vintages labels three" and stamped in Archival ink on dollarstore cardstock altered with distress inks. Several Spellbinders Donna Salazar "Sprightly Sprockets" die cuts are embossed with Pretty in Ink's copper embossing powder and added for extra steampunkishness.
